Einstein (11/24)

"The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge, but imagination."
Can you tell Einstein was an advocate of the active imagination?
When it comes to the people I consider brilliant, knowledge is generally the main factor, not imagination. However, I know so many people whose art is astonishing, be it written, drawn, painted, or on stage.
One friend is such an amazing actress, but her passion isn't even acting, it's hair. She's incredibly talented with hair as well. By the general standard, she's also quite knowledgeable, and consequently considered intelligent.
I think that perhaps it isn't her knowledge or even her multiple talents that make her truely intelligent though. It's her drive. She's capable of many different things, all desirable as careers, but she wants to be an esthetician, specifically a hair dresser. Generally, that isn't a job admired or high sought, but she knows that she loves doing hair and she's going to do it because she loves it. I think that shows more intelligence and foresight than most other people I know.
